Wattbike – designed with champions... for you

In 2000 Wattbike founders met with Peter Keen, Performance Director at British Cycling with the visions of creating the ultimate indoor bike. Versatile enough to test elite athletes and beginners alike. Powerful enough to deliver the most insightful data to coaches and amateur athletes.

Eight years and a rigorous testing process later, the Wattbike was endorsed by British Cycling and launched to cycling fans at the Track Cycling World Championships in 2008. In the following years, British Cycling used the Wattbike for talent identification and development of countless elite athletes.

Following seven successful years with British Cycling, Wattbike elevated to a global level. In September 2015 Wattbike was chosen as the global talent ID and training tool of the UCI World Cycling Centre. Housed in six of the UCI’s satellite centres around the world, Wattbike is at the heart of their search for future stars.

Creating the ultimate indoor cycling experience means doing things a little differently. Unlike other indoor trainers, Wattbike employs chains and sprockets in their indoor bikes, to keep the ride sensation as close to the road as possible.

Wattbike have also worked with the world’s best scientists and engineers to shape their data in different ways. This helps deliver actionable insights to riders in real time, including their unique and patented Polar View technology.

It’s the most precise, high quality, personalised training tool I have found. Whether it’s performance on the road, the pitch or just life in general, the Wattbike is the magic ingredient. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

It all started in watts. A simple power measurement with the potential to unlock cyclist’s true ability. Early on, they understood that this simple measurement could change the way cyclists approach their training.

So they made a commitment to creating the industries most accurate system. They had their power curve independently tested by the South Australia Institute of Sport, to give cyclists confidence in their data.

With data in their DNA, we’ve continued to develop innovative solutions to help cyclists make the most of their data. They have launched Wattbike Hub, to help cyclists measure, analyse and use data to improve their performance.

Wattbike isn’t just the choice of elite road and track cyclists. World and Olympic champions across all sports use Wattbike to train smarter, push harder and improve performance.
